Hydrology Software
The TIPS Hydrology Success Team provides leadership and direction to the SMCRA Hydrology Program by delivering software, training, and technical guidance to our customers on hydrology-related issues. Our customers include OSM, State, and Tribe hydrologists, and federal state SMCRA programs.
- AMDTreat - Acid mine drainage pollution abatement cost estimating software.
- AQTESOLV - A suite of tools to analyze movement and quantity of ground water, estimate aquifer parameters and to evaluate pump/slug well test results.
- AqQA – Simple to use software that can be used to plot water quality graphs, evaluate water types, and perform simple water quality calculations.
- AquaChem - AquaChem is no longer a TIPS Core Software package. Please contact
Brian Hicks for further information.
- The Geochemist Workbench - A collection of sophisticated modules for solving aqueous geochemistry problems.
- Groundwater Modeling System - Ground-water model design system that converts map data into MODFLOW, MODPAT, and MT3D grid data.
- Groundwater Vistas - Groundwater Vistas is a model-independent graphical design system for MODFLOW, MODPAT, and MT3D.
- HEC-RAS - A frequent use of the HEC-RAS model is the investigation of the impacts of encroachment upon the floodplain
(flood analysis); for example delineating the approximate limits of the 100-year floodplain. In addition, the effects of various obstructions such as bridges, culverts, weirs, and other structures in the flood plain can be considered in the computations.
- RUSLE - Soil loss prediction software which includes a suite of modules for determining soil loss factors.
- SEDCAD - A suite of curve number-based watershed rainfall-runoff models, RUSLE-based sediment yield analysis, and channel and hydraulic structure design utilities.
