Dear Colleague:

TIPS is gathering examples of how our tools and technology are making a difference in providing government services and supporting the Surface Mining Act nationwide. We would like to highlight your organization in our upcoming publications and on our website.
Send us your favorite TIPS success stories highlighting the use of our software, tools, equipment, and data. We will use the stories to spread the word about the benefits, including time and cost savings, of using TIPS Tools and technology to successfully implement SMCRA throughout the nation for performing both routine functions and innovative new applications.

Suggested topic areas include (but feel free to add your own):

• Special Events & Investigations: Coal Fires, Subsidence, Mine Pools
  
  
• Permitting & Reclamation Activities (Permit Boundaries, Revegetation, Geomorphic Reclamation)
  
  
• Geospatial, GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing Activities

• Hydrologic Analysis, Flooding, AVF, Sedimentation, Stream Restoration, AMD, Water Quality
  
  
• Cost Benefit analysis showing time and cost savings resulting from the use of TIPS tools.

Below the structure you should use for your submittal:

Contributions should be 150-225 words.
Graphics should be at least 300 dpi
