Uses

Interpret the complex interactions between the groundwater and aquifer materials.
Prepare and evaluate different graphs (Stiff, Piper, etc.) to choose the best one for your needs in representing the water quality or in preparation for meetings or court cases.
Analyze and model simple or complex geochemical data sets to identify mine discharge, tailings effluent, or determine if well contamination is related to mining activity.
Use in the general analysis of water surface- and ground-water quality (water type, source, general quality) (Baseline).
Determine source (aquifer) of a water sampled in a well during baseline or water quality investigations / citizen complaints.
Graphically display the chemical composition of a water.
Determine and distinguish water sources in mine drainage investigations, well complaints and Abandoned Mined Lands surveys.
