“TIPS Data Miner – gateway to a diamond mine of data”
- Janine Ferarese-

The integrity of the information produced by a GIS is a function of the data put into it. Finding data is a hurdle that must be overcome before any GIS project can get off the ground. Geospatial data can be difficult or expensive to create and frustrating to acquire, especially if you don’t know where to look.

TIPS is pleased to introduce the Data Miner.
A place of discovery, the TIPS Data Miner is a search tool designed for use by the SMCRA GIS professional. It is a portal to a comprehensive collection of geospatial and natural resource information. Here you will discover what you need to know as a GIS user acquiring data and information, what to look for and where to look.
