1. Update State/Tribe/OSM Hardware Needs- Service Managers see 6-8-2005 email from Morlock [Clark/Morlock]
Discussion: None
Action Items: Service Managers contact your customers and respond to Morlock ASAP.
2. OSM Computer Refresh—Dell 670 [Osborne]
Discussion: Wilhelm reported Clark recommended proceeding with the current specs and if the graphics cards don’t work, we will replace them with higher cards.
Action Items: None

3. FTP replacement--SharePoint external site status [McNish]
Discussion: FTP will be replaced with a SharePoint site – NTTT – National Technical Transfer Team. This site will have a TIPS sub site and will allow both internal and external access. McNish will assign each user a login and password. The password will be required to be changed upon login. This site is expected to come on-line in the next couple of weeks.
Action Items: McNish will continue to work to bring the site on-line.

4. TIPS CPIC process-status report [Trujillo]
Discussion: Hamm reported we are on track with the budget currently. TIPS remains hopeful the original money cut earlier will be restored by the end of the year. TIPS continues to address the FY07 CPIC to justify our existence.
Action Items: None
5. ESRI Conference—schedule for OSM meetings [Wilhelm\Clark]
Discussion: Currently plans include dinner Monday night and meetings on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 PM – 5 PM with the OSM and State Guests attending.
Action Items: Wilhelm will send additional information to the attendees next week.
6. USGS Demo Projects

Discussion: Class short fall: Introduction to ArcGIS August 23-25 Pittsburgh, missing student nominations from WV, Alabama AML, VA (wait list), OSM-Ashland, OSM-TN.
Action Items: Service Managers please contact your customers and encourage them to submit the student nominations.
9. Software Upgrades and Distribution Schedule [Greene]

Discussion: Software distribution has started. Dunn reported some customers are still using Windows 2000, he sent a suggestion to Garnett for including Windows 2000 licensing instructions in the distribution letter. Greene polled software managers to obtain a list of software expected for the next distribution: ArcGIS 9.1, Image Analysis for ArcGIS, Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS, XWIN32, possible AutoCAD. Benavides continues to investigate a Mr. Sid replacement and is reviewing ERMapper. Benavides is reviewing KeyClient 6.0.3. Garnet informed the Service Managers of the changes required to install the SurvCADD licensing including modifying the LSHosts variable and HOSTS file and confirmed he will be available over the next few weeks to support the new installation.
Action Items:
a. Garnett will send additional material to Greene.
b. Greene will send a new newsletter with minor corrections and a new distribution letter with the addition of instructions for SurvCADD licensing on Windows 2000 machines.
c. Service Managers please familiarize your selves with the new SurvCADD licensing installation to be ready to support your customers.
d. Service Managers please commence with the distribution after the new newsletter and distribution letters arrive this afternoon.
10. TIPS Tech Transfer Support
a. PA-Wilkes University Project-Status Report [Uranowski]
Discussion: Osborne reported the contract has been signed and we should start seeing some action soon.
Action Items: Uranowski and Osborne will proceed with the project.
11. OSM-State Geospatial Team and “EGIM”-status [Card]
Discussion: No news. The team will meet at the ESRI conference. Card reported the establishment of a new team named the, “National Surface Mining Geospatial Committee”. The team will remain small and the goal is to facilitate the sharing of GIS information between OSM and our State and Tribal customers.
Action Items: Card is consulting with other agencies to determine how they coordinate their GIS concerns. He is scheduling a time for this team to meet within the next couple of months.
12. TIPS Web Team-status [Greene]
Discussion: The team continues to work on revising the TIPS website and will meet again in mid-July.
Action Items: TIPS team members need to supply information for the revision of the website. Software Managers in particular need to respond to Greene’s request to update the software sections of the website.

Meier: Min Kim has accepted the position of GIS Specialist. He will begin his new duties Monday June 27, 2005.
Greene: TIPS is responding to the request to identify standards for the software submitted to the TRM.
