FlexLM issues – [Kannawin/Benavides]
Time out features are now working with AutoCAD.
Mike Benavides will research new KeyClient version that Mike Dunn found to have a lot of SP2 fixes over the current version in widespread use.
The new version is a candidate for inclusion in the upcoming distribution.
Install of new servers in Denver/HQ and FlexNet [Kannawin]
Bill has installed the new servers. The two new Flex Manager servers
have been configured. Bill will install new Western flex server this
weekend. Bill will ship out flex server box to HQ after he ensures it
is working properly

USGS Demo Projects
Coal Fire Identification-ND [Osborne]
OSM is working with USGS through an MOU to investigate the applicability of National Technical Means (NTM) assets to locate coal seam fires.
A project between the USFS, OSM and the ND PSC was conducted last week using a FLIR camera mounted on a Cobra helicopter. Results of the project are mixed in using FLIR technology to reliably detect fires; dependent on weather conditions. Dianne will place a power point on the share point drive showing highlights of the project with associated data.
AMD site Identification [Osborne]
Through this MOU USGS is working with NTM data to determine locations of acid mine drainage in PA. Bob Evans is working on providing USGS/MCMC with AMD point locations that USGS can use as control for classification of AMD sites.
National Map-“Mine Repository” [Morlock]
Greg Morlock is working on getting the map server operational.
AutoCAD licenses for training—don’t use FlexLM license use 30 day temporary?
Kevin is waiting for training licenses or can use 30 day demo licenses.

AutoDesk & SurvCADD April 2005—status [Garnett]
Kevin is waiting for delivery of AutoCAD licenses, or perhaps can use the
30 day demo licenses now.
Others - ArcGIS service pack, AMD Treat, AquaChem
Mary is pushing toward April distribution for AutoCAD and SurvCADD under new licenses.
Bob McKenzie will provide information on AMDTreat.
Mike Dunn is preparing instructions and burning CD’s for distribution
of Earth Vision.
AquaChem – new license format, KeyServer compatibility
AquaChem is on hold and will not go out in this distribution.
Need to check on licensing issues.
Mary needs installation instructions for all software in this distribution. She will prepare license letters send out to all for review. This should go out in April.
Service managers – Let Mary know if additional CD’s are needed.
Update – FY04 license usage. 29,741 hits. Expect to top 30,000 hits in FY05.
How do we track SurvCADD usage? Kevin will send Mary instructions for tracking SurvCADD.
Lois working with BOR on Autodesk – ArcSDE interface is not out yet. Kevin is working on Beta version now.

There will be strategic planning discussions at the TIPS Steering Committee Meeting.

PA-Wilkes University Project-Status Report [Uranowski]
The State of PA put on hold on issuance of the sole source contract. OSM will delay meeting with the PAGIS group until contract is in place. Project timeline will change from a completion date of 7/06 to 10/06.
OSM GIS Team and “EGIM”-status [Card]
Bill Card has a number of items to discuss with Billie.
TIPS Web Team-status [Greene]
Web team moving forward. Of the surveys sent out, 11 were sent back. Mary is finishing tallies today. Survey info will be helpful. Mary is incorporating comments from the survey results.
Bill Winters sent a request to include a write-up on past projects on the new web site.
Mary will send out an information call to software managers to update web pages. Information need is name of software manager, OSM point of contact, other links, descriptions, software uses, software users, etc. Send changes to Mary so she can incorporate changes into new web page format.
Looking at web tracking software, IT consultant to look at tracking usage, such as SurvCADD usage.
GeoFluv Review Team—status [Garnett]
Kevin is planning GeoFluv Training in mid May with Carlson. Kevin will coordinate with Cathy McNish.

Mobile computing workshop—2006 Billing Symposium (July 2006)
Bob Postle is organizing the symposium. Anyone interested in presenting
work on mobile computing at this workshop contact Bob Postle.

Lois – There is an issue with some states on improper installation of AutoCAD and use of licenses. The offices in PA are on track now.
Kevin will provide instructions on how to set up an AutoCAD license properly. Mary will send out instructions.

Send use report requests to Mary.
Mike - Sheridan and Casper trips went well. AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and digitizer problems are solved. Mike found that Tablet Works version 5 works very well and is freeware. Mike will send out an email to service managers on the use of Tablet Works.
Telecommunications working well. Mike installed latest KeyServer client version 6.
